[Consumerwide - HueSoung Jun Reporter / Yohan Bok Reporter] The vehicle industry is initiating a variety of social contributions, including supporting local society and citizens in vulnerable conditions while nurturing future vehicle experts and motor sports experts aiming to contribute to society in the area of safety and sustainability.

Stellantis Korea has donated their fuzo e-2008 SUV for educational purposes (education and studies of enrolling students, NSC videos, and industry staff training relevant to engineering in the northern area of Gyeonggi) to Seoyeong University's department of Future Vehicle Studies in Paju Gyeonggido on March 19. Starting from this, Stellantis Korea and Seoyeong University are offering four weeks of field assignment and mentoring support for knowledge and technology training of students (Seoyeong University) in the automation sector, while also providing opportunities for employment at Stellantis Korea and dealer businesses.

Toyota Motor Korea has donated 80 million won to Aju Motor College on March 19 as a part of their social contribution activities, "T-TEP (Toyota Technical Experience Programme), aiming to nurture motor specialised experts in Korea. Earlier in 2020, Toyota Motor Korea donated vehicles for training with vehicle parts while facilitating an automation training academy after signing a T-Tep MOU with Aju Mortor College, which has the first Korean motor sports major. This scholarship is used for the training programme, which visits the Super Taikyu Series in May, as well as for scholarships for excellent students aiming to nurture experts in the motor sports field. Besides, Toyota has hosted Toyota and Lexus automation technology training, an automated vehicle test ride and circuit programme, and a circuit conference for the trainee students of the Toyota automation programme at the university.

Audi has supported EVs in a marathon competition that promotes the importance of environmental protection.

The official Audi dealer, Ironauto, has supported the 22nd KNN environmental marathon competition (March 17) by offering an Audi representative EV model to facilitate the event, aiming to promote the value of sustainable mobility. Since 2003, the marathon has begun to promote the importance of environmental protection. Sungwoo Hightech and Busan KNN have hosted it, and Sportslink supervised the marathon.

The GM Korea Foundation donated five Travelizers to the Incheon Local Teens' Support Centre for career consultation and various programmes for social or outdoor activities. The accumulated donation of the Foundation to local society counts 681 units since 2005, including this time. They have been running various activities, including a youth STEM Programme, a training programme for transportation vulnerable citizens, programme to improve the environment, and a programme to develop the self-reliance of people in vulnerable conditions in the local area.

Volvo Car Korea has donated 0.35 billion won to the Family Safety campaign in cooperation with the Korea Childcare Promotion Institute to create a nurturing culture for both children and parents while improving recognition of birth and childcare through passing on family and safety values. By implementing "Swedish family-friendly culture" in the midst of Korea's declining birth rate trend, the campaign aims to encourage a positive conception of childbirth and childcare while also building a relaxing, loving culture for both parents and children.

Details of the steps for the Family Safety Campaign are as follows.: providing online contents for promoting childcare value, making and distributing play materials for infant transportation safety (right car seat using menual) through day care centre, developing and facilitating family-friendly programmes for pre-parents and fathers through ten childcare support centres in domestic areas (local childcare support centres), installing diaper changing stations at rest rooms and refreshment rooms (making childcare infrastructure for men), encouraging daddies to use childcare leave, which is based on Swedish Latte Papa culture that fathers are actively engaging in childcare, and strengthening parental capacity.
