[Consumerwide - HueSoung Jun Reporter / Yohan Bok Reporter]  It's been discovered that fake Kahi products are distributed on the market. Thus, Kahi began urging consumers to be careful and to report them. Kahi is also planning to adopt an online serial number system while changing the product design to one that is hard to imitate. Purchasing a product through the official sellers could be a way to increase consumption value, not only get them at a rational price.

On the 17th, referring to Kahi, a fake Kahi was distributed in the market. The problem lies in the fact that it is almost impossible to differentiate between a real product and a fake product. Not only the design and brand authorising marks are used, but also barcodes. And it's sold for a cheaper price than the real product. However, you cannot always say it is a fake product based on the discount rate. In the shoes of consumers, it does not seem so easy to identify the brand of product. The scale of fake products that are already distributed is not confirmed, but it's been estimated that there are many.

An associated person from Kahi said during an interview with Consumerwide, "We are in the process of determining the accurate scale of a fake product, yet we perceive that it probably has a large manufacturing system due to the fact it's made in a precise way. We've been keeping track. It seems to be produced overseas. We are monitoring significant markets in domestic areas and overseas, since popular products can be distributed unofficially in various ways."

Kahi emphasised that the fake product can cause severe skin problems as it is not possible to predict the environment for production and components of the product. If so, what is the best way to distinguish the real one? An associated person from Kahi said, "There are tiny differences in the stick balm cases, such as lettering size or colour tone. But it probably won't be easy for consumers to determine them. With unofficial sellers, you have a chance to get fake products. In particular, it can be a direct cause of skin problems due to the use of unknown ingredients and the manufacturing environment. We have been constantly encouraging consumers to purchase through official sellers.".

Kahi decided to adopt a product-certifying sticker system to block the distribution of fake products.

He said, "As soon as possible, we will adopt a new system, which might involve online serial numbering and changing the design to one that is difficult to imitate. We are open to different possibilities to resolve the issue."
