Powered by the ESG management market trend and customers who prioritize the environment and neutralization of carbonate values, it is predicted to grow further in the future.

Consumers counted the use of containers with a high capacity for recycling or recyclable containers, expanding supply of refill products alongside a container collecting program, and expansion of refill-stations as practical steps, which cosmetics businesses can take, according to research by the Korea Consumer Agency in March. The research clearly shows that consumers want to see more refill-products in the market.

There was a demand for refill products of steady seller products from customers, which resulted in the refill product release. The advantages of refillable cosmetics are that they reduce carbon emissions by using fewer plastics as well. It can bring down the purchase cost. However, refill products have to be used with extra care due to the nature of refill products, which can be easily exposed to bacteria.

Innisfree is presenting "Green Tea Seed Hyaluronic Serum Refill pouch". The refill pouch contains 80ml, which is the same amount as a regular product. Nevertheless, you get to pay only 80% of the price. By simply pouring the serum inside the refill pouch into a used container after removing the cutting lines of the package, you can continually use the product. The brand associated person said that they began manufacturing refill products in order to bring down costs, which will lighten the burden of Innisfree customers.

"Beyond" of LG H&H presented "Angel Aqua Cream 2 packs Loveus Edition" as their refill product. With the aim of reuse of plastic containers along with the former cream product (150ml), the same amount of refill pouch is included in the package, which is the first time since Angel Aqua line release. FSC certified paper, which uses materials grown in forests that are managed in responsible ways, and soy ink are used for product packaging. The former product package used 100% recycled plastic containers in mass balance standard, which applied Plastic Waste-to-Pyrolysis Oil Conversion.

Skinfood has manufactured a Carrot Carotene Calming Water Pad and Pantothenic Water Parsley Clear Pad in refill type, which was invented upon request of consumers. The refill pad went through a long development process due to the features of the pad (Skinfood Carrot Carotene Calming Water pad, Pantothenic Water Parsley Clear pad), which is designed thick and large. After a long period of time, they eventually came up with a 30 pad refill product package which perfectly fit the thickness and size of the pads.

The History of Whoo also came up with a refillable package for skincare products for the first time. It's a package that is a combination of Energetic Repair Serum and Recharging Cream, which has a plastic reduction effect each 68% for repair serum and 85% for recharge cream compared to the former product packaging.

Kiel is participating in the refill cosmetics trend as well. "Ultra Facial Cream Refill Pouch" is designed as a product of 150ml, which contains three-fold of the former product, so it can reduce use of plastics by the max of 61% compared to the former product (50ml).
