[Consumerwide_ HueSoung, Jun Reporter / Yohan, Bok Reporter] Apple smartphone users now have access to control over AC temperature, audio, radio channel, and surrounding lights using voice through the Apply CarPlay in Porsche. The users can begin adjusting devices simply by calling "Siri". It is applied to Cayenne, which is a model to be released during the second quarter of the year in Korea.  Unfortunately, it is not applicable to Android smart devices. For this reason, Siri could become one of the new consumption options for Apple smartphone users.

On the eleventh, according to Porsche, a newly updated My Porsche app is particularly designed for Apple CarPlay. In other words, only Apple smartphone users can use this function. Apple smartphone users have access to digital control and management by using the Porsche app. Not only so, but you can also check the battery condition of the car while controlling the AC or listening to music through Apple Music. Some of the core functions that users can set through My Porsche app are settings of car audio, including the sound profile, switching radio channels, adjusting interior temperature and surrounding lights.

All these functions are controllable through Siri while you drive. Using the fast action in Apple CarPlay, it can be combined with wellness-mode, including "Relax", "Warm-up", "Refresh". Just by scanning QR codes that appear on the PCM, it activates, and new functions are addable through regular updates. This convenient function is applied to the new Porsche Kayen first, which is already on the market for sale, and other products later on. It is applicable to the models in the domestic market, beginning with the partial change model of Kayen, which is going to be released in the second half of year. The function is designed for Apple smartphone users. Hence, smartphone users of other brands, including the android smartphone of Samsung electronics, are excluded.

An associated person from Porsche Korea explained during the interview with Consumerwide, "Vehicles that are designed for Apple CarPlay will be able to use this function after Kayen is released on the market. This is exclusively designed for Apple CarPlay, thus, it can not be used on the Android auto."
