[Consumerwide - HueSoung Jun Reporter / Yohan Bok Reporter]  Kia has decorated booths with EV charging, space and new technology, and sustainability themes during the EV Trend Korea 2024 using their former models, the Ray EV, EV6 GT-Line, and EV9.

Many visitors came to check out the Kia booth on March 6 (the first day of the exhibition). The visitors experienced automation technology at the EV charging, space and new technology, and sustainability zones. 

An assistant at the booth explained, "We tried to explain the value of the Ray EV, which has highly economic value due to its EV benefits along with its light body, through our EV Charging Zone. At the Space and New Technology Zone, customers can experience the OTA process based on their digital preference, which they have purchased at the Kia Connect Store, on a real EV9 using smartphones."

The Sustainability Zone, where 10 types of environmental materials were applied to EV9, has attracted the reporter. An interactive wall that introduced cooperative activities between Kia and Oceancleanup (NGO), an organisation that initiates removing trash and plastic from the ocean, was installed. The wall showed the process of plastic waste from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch turning into a resource for Kia vehicles when the wall was touched.

EV Trend Korea (7th) is hosted at Seoul Gangnam Coex between March 6 and 8. EV Trend Korea is the only EV exposition held in Seoul and organised by the Ministry of Environment, aiming to build a new EV culture and increase the use of EVs in Korea.
