[Consumerwide - Jinil Kang Reporter / Yohan Bok Reporter]  It's been confirmed that the opening day of the third Nitori is March 21st at Homeplus Gayang. Earlier, they planned this location as the second branch. However, Homeplus Gayang became the third branch, as Nitori launched their second branch at Homeplus Yeongdeungpo. This might be a new alternative for residents of Gangseo and Yangcheon who value home interiors. Besides, they won't need to travel as far as Ikea Gayang any longer for furniture purchases.

An advertisement paper, "Nitori Grand Open on March 21," was hung on the Homeplus Gayang on February 8. Since then, I have discovered that the Nitori Homeplus Gayang branch is going to be located in the basement (B1) of the building after visiting and asking at Homeplus Gayang.

Nitori Homeplus Gayang branch is busy doing interior tasks prior to opening. It might be smaller than the first Nitori branch, though I still have not seen it.

Basement 1 of the Homeplus Gayang has a number of child-related stores, including the kids cafe and second-hand book store. Nitori is going to be placed in a factory-type store on the same floor. Nitori has chosen this location because most of their stores have seven to eight hundred pyeong. It is not easy to find a space as large as this in the Seoul area.

Nitori Homeplus Gayang is expected to have approximately eight thousand units of products, including small-medium furniture (matresses, sofas, and shelves) and living and interior products (rugs and drying stands), referring to the first Nitori branch. This might be a new alternative for residents of Gangseo and Yangcheon who value home interiors. Besides, they won't need to travel as far as Ikea Gayang any longer for furniture purchases.

However, the problem lies in the fact that the building is old, including the restroom facilities, along with poor management. It did not seem so clean at the time I visited on February 8. Constant visits from people are expected as soon as it opens. For this reason, I perceive that renovation or management of the restrooms is quite necessary.

It would have been great if I was able to hear about the story regarding the issue from Homeplus. But I couldn't get through due to the season being close to the national holiday.

Nitori Korea store opening dates are as follows: 1st Nitori was launched at Emart Hawolgok in November 2023. The second Nitori is awaiting opening by February 22nd at Homeplus Yeongdeungpo. The fourth Nitori is also about to open by April at Homeplus Incheon Yeonsu.
