A high-performance super-electric vehicle that proves an electric vehicle 'can' perform like a real sports vehicle.

[Consumerwide_ Yohan, Bok Reporter] Audi RS e-tron GT is a pure electric car that has applied the special features of Gran turismo, a sporty touring model which has a stable driving capacity and outstanding handling.

This vehicle was evaluated for the combination of the design style that includes rich expression, strong electricity output, high efficiency, and outstanding convenience for daily use.

The RS e-tron GT loaded two strong electric motors on the front and the back axles, and it has 475㎾(646hp) output with 84.7㎏·m toque for boost mode. And, it is capable of driving 33km with one single recharge based on a Lithium-ion battery of 93.4㎾h. The drag coefficient is only 0.24. The highest speed is 250km/h, and the official electrical efficiency is compound 3.4 km/kWh(downtown 3.3/highway 3.4). Its interior space is made of full length 4990mm, full width  1965mm, full height 1400mm, hence it seems even a tall adult can use the space comfortably.

I was test driving the Audi RS e-tron GT between Sagaeri beach sports park to the Grand Joseon Hotel, which was 21km long, on Oct. 28th during an Audi media test drive event. For the appearance and the interior design aspects of the Audi RS e-tron GT, please refer to the related articles.

One of the strengths of Audi is that it doesn't feel a huge difference as an electric car. On that day, I sat in the driver's seat of an Audi RS e-tron GT for the second time. The first time was during the Audi RS e-tron GT release media event. At that time, I didn't feel much deviation since the interior was close to ICE vehicles. Sitting in the driver's seat again, familiarity came along as much as one would certainly feel ready to drive. The interior design has a typical European sports car atmosphere, which positions everything centering on the driver. The overall layout is closely akin to the Porsche Taycan, yet the design bears the former ICE Audi steps.

The start was more tender than the Q4 e-tron, which I've been test riding before. As I stepped on the accelerator, it began speeding. This had an intuitive response depending on the intensity of the accelerator. Regardless of it being a long hill section, there was no change in accelerating force. Without putting in much strength, it speeded with comfort.

The lane changing process was intuitive. I felt as if it was reading the driver's mind and moving ahead. The Audi RS e-tron GT has installed electric quatro, which is a electric four-wheel drive system. This vitalized the rear wheel drive electrical motor at 5 times faster than the mechanical drive in the case of speedy cornering or in the highly-power demanding case. The more you drive, this stimulates speeding nature. This reminded me that the driver needs to drive the Audi RS e-tron with a self-control mind to prevent an accident.

The riding comfort was distinctive. The air suspension was sheltering from the road surface shock. There wasn't much shock while crossing the speed bump. The wind noise and the road surface noise were not heard. Adopted cruise control worked quite well. The headup display was a regular one. Considering the Q4 e-tron having an augmented reality headup display, I felt this could have been little better.

A stable drive, an outstanding speed, accurate stop power, tender cornering, a comfortable ride, it was hard to find anything lacking from the RS e-tron GT.

In fact, I had experienced sitting in the passenger's(assistant) seat for a 30 km long drive, before my test drive on the Audi RS e-tron GT. At that time, the driver(other press reporter) told me that he'd tested a number of times on the Audi RS e-tron, and he would like to show the capacity of the vehicle. It was the accelerating power that he had shown me. The Audi RS e-ton has 3.3 sec of accelerating capacity of 0-100 km/h.  This means that from the stop condition the Audi RS e-tron GT can speed as if a bullet pops up. Sitting in the passenger's seat, the speed felt massive. The pressure while stopping was beyond imagination. After a sudden acceleration to a sudden lane change and returning was superior. However, it was like a taste of death in the passenger's seat. Excellent speeding, stopping, and intuitive steering mechanism capacity are superior, but I would not recommend driving this way. I am still in the aftermath of that drive, which was 5 days ago. The Audi RS e-tron GT is truly worthwhile while one drives safely under speed regulations.

A press reporter said that the Audi e-ton GT is a toy for men on that day. I disagree with this. An Audi RS e-tron GT is a high-performance super-electric vehicle that stands against those opinions that an electric vehicle cannot perform like a true sports car.
