The French cheese popup "anywhere cheese" was running between 25th of Sept to 25th...The event succeeded in promoting their cheese is enjoyable everywhere.

On 25th afternoon, I visited Anywhere Cheese. It was a sunny day with a cooling wind, which was  perfect weather for cheese. It refreshed my ordinary days.

[Consumerwide_ Yohan, Bok Reporter] A French cheese cafe replaced the Cafe Guwookhee, one of the hot places in Seoul, Seongsudong. This cafe ran only for 4 days, which was between 22nd of Sept to 25th, but it gave visitors great joy.

This french cafe that came and left like magic, is a french popup cheese popup, 'Anywhere cheese'. This year was the third time it opened up.

On 25th afternoon, I visited Anywhere Cheese. It was a sunny day with a cooling wind, which was  perfect weather for cheese. It refreshed my ordinary days.


'Anywhere cheese' "From the cheese that fits you to the cheese that fits your place, experience and taste it"


Anywhere Cheese is made up of spaces that suit French cheese. This space aims for a new kind of joy.

The place was prepared for all levels of cheese lovers who may feel and remember the attractive points of a cheese product; ▲place where you can take mini taste to find out my cheese place ▲Photozone, where you can enjoy cheese in various locations (gymnasium to the space) ▲6 types of french cheese tasting ▲pre-reservation class and regular mini seminar ▲various surprise event.

When I went to Anywhere cheese, they were busy with a mini-test event in the cafe garden. The test was that they gave us a cheese that fitted our personality when we answered 4 questions. Out of curiosity, I took the test, and I got Camanbert anda mini cheese knife as a gift.

There was a photozone, where they recreated a class room, gymnasium, and space in between the 1st to 3rd floors of the cafe building. You could take photos while tasting 6 kinds of cheese in different places. Staff members in each corner gave me a kind explanation about cheese.

Let's take a look at the photozones on each floor and cheese. On the 1st floor there was promage blanc. Promage blanc is a cheese deeper than yogurt, but lighter than creamcheese in terms of texture. Plus, it has a fresh milk flavor.

It doesn't have any strong cheese flavour, so it works well for my snacktime in a quiet classroom or office. I went to the classroom and had promage blanc. I smiled, remembering my high school time, eating snacks under breath with deskmate during class.

In the classroom, there was held a 15 minute-long mini seminar. The mini-seminar is made up of Q&A and a small lecture on cheese (6 types of cheese presented during the event) tasting, cheese cutting, cheese storing, character of cheese.

A visitor told me, "I love cheese at all times. We came here to check out Seongsu dong, and it was awesome to meet Cheese popup. I enjoyed this mini-seminar the most, where I could share a cheese story while getting information."

On the second floor, there were Blue d'Auvergne, Langres, Comte, mimolette in each place(photozone). At the station where you depart and arrive, you had blue d'Auvergne.

Blue d'Auvergne is known as the French blue cheese leader. The taste is a combination of the spicy taste of black pepper, a shooting smell, oily, yet salty. Having chocolate with Blue d'Auvergne was a real salty and sweet comb.

The cute space had Langres cheese. Langres is a cheese made in the Champagne Langres plateau area. It is special as tender peel and skin, which contrasts with its strong aroma. It was beyond imagination; space and cheese combination.

At the beach party, there was Comte. Comte suits well with wine. And it's even more tasty with nuts.

For Gym, Mamolette was the mate. Mamolette is easy to digest and protein absorption is fast. Hence, it's counted as the best energy booster stack before and after exercise.

A CNEL (Centre National Interprofessionnel de l'Economie Laitière) related person said to me on that day, "We ran the last two popups at Yeonnamdong. This time we ran it at another hotplace in Seongsu having Anywhere cheese theme. Based on our experience on Yeonnamdong popup, we've prepared for this event, hoping that we can approach our customers with a more friendly image. We are glad to see visitors enjoying our event, and it was rewarding when we saw them asking us lots of questions about cheese. In future, we will try our best so that many visitors may enjoy the various tastes and attractive flavours of cheese. "

I stayed in Anywhere Cheese a total of an hour. As CNEL staff said, the characteristic photozones and the cheese combination became a good memory.

In addition to that, regardless of being crowded with many visitors during weekends, their effort to explain helped us to remember clearly the 6 cheeses.

I look forward to seeing how the next popup will be designed to attract visitors.
