10 thousand Jeep Grand Cherokee L (2021. Nov) were sold since its release. The big difference between the two models is the front passenger screen, which is placed in joining parts for the Dashboard(co-driver's seat) and glove box.

Front Passenger Screen can play independently besides the display screen on the driver's seat. As well you've got access to Bluetooth earphones.

An HDMI port is located under part of the center fascia. So it is possible to watch videos on the co-driver's seat by connecting a notebook computer or mobile.

I couldn't try on the Front Passenger Screen because I didn't have an HDMI connector on that day. But I suspect that this function would be useful for long-distance driving.

U connect T-map, wireless Apple car-play, Android auto connector, and wireless recharge pad are provided for Korean customers. U connect T-map needs an additional Jeep-support application. Wireless Apple car-play/ Android auto connection also has to be a wire connected before using them. The writer tried on Android auto with T-map on that day. The front seat massage function was quite useful to overcome drowsiness and fatigue.

Grand Cherokee L 2022 is a large SUV with third-row seats. It has proper, comfortable third-row seats for adults. 2nd and third-row seats can easily fold by pressing a button under part of the trunk. Unfolding needs to do manually. Other than this, there is no difference from the previous model regarding interior design.

It's time to check out driving capability and ride comfort. Grand Cherokee L has proved superior capability during the 2021 model experiment. What'd be a difference? Grand Cherokee L 2022 was distinctive from the start. Beginning with gentle moves, downtown driving was stable despite traffic.

Soon as we got to a highway, the hidden power of the Grand Cherokee came out. When I stepped on the accelerator, Cherokee L responded with a 3.6L V6 24V VVT upgrade engine, which engine is geared with a max output of 286 hp(6400rpm), max torque of 35.1kg·m(4000rpm). Unlikely a big body, Cherokee ran fast. The soft performance of 8-speed automatic transmissions was remarkable. Strength was more than enough even in the hills. Four wheels drive system with a Jeep function helped to prevent slips during high-speed cornering.

The car emitting sound and road surface noise weren't loud but slightly heard. If this annoys you, I recommend taking advantage of the Mcintosh sound system by listening to your favorite music. The Mcintosh system is popular in the Hi-Fi audio industry. No emitting sound can win over Macintosh sound.

Grand Cherokee L 2022 contains an active driving assistant system (self-driving level2) combined with adaptive cruise control and an active lane management system. I was satisfied with the test drive. It was useful in long-distance driving.

Fuel efficiency was beyond expectations. The official fuel efficiency is 7.7km/l (downtown 6.7km/l, highway 9.4km/l). Test drive fuel efficiency for 101.3km was 12.9km/l overall.

Grand Cherokee L is an ambitious work of Jeep company. The 2022 model is an upgraded version of the 2021 model.
