[Consumerwide_ HueSoung, Jun Reporter / Yohan, Bok Reporter] Goobne chicken is heading for the North American market by launching the first branch in LA (Hannam chain Del Amo), US. While aiming for 100 branches in 5 years, the second chain begins sometime this year. They haven't decided yet which country to launch. Starting from Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong in 2014, Goobne extended its branch to Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, and China, last Nov. By entering the US market, now Goobne has 41 branches in 10 countries. Goobne is aiming for 100 overseas branches by next year.

On the 12th, according to Goobne, the US is the 10th country to launch. Goobne has chosen Hannam chain Del Amo foodcourt (Korean market), in Torrance LA. Del Amo food court has opened in June 2021. Goobne Del Amo branch has 56 seats. Authentic menus in Del Amo branches are Galbi Cheonwang(Galbi taste with tasty sauce and oven-baking), Fruits Soy-garlic, and Chilies crispy(spicy Korean chilies on the chicken surface). Goobne decided to begin with LA, the city where is the largest Korean population in the US.

Goobne related person said during the interview with Consumerwide, "We are entering the overseas market based on intensive research and preparation while considering potential customers' needs. Recently Korean culture has been spread in North America through K-pop and drama. For this reason, more customers seem to get familiar with Korean chickens. LA has the most Korean population in the US. So are we."

Along with 2nd branch this year, Goobne chicken plans to open 100 branches in 5years. (chicken restaurants) They run as a master franchise system. A master franchise is a type of business that the master franchisor offers subfranchises franchise licenses.

The goobne-related person added to it, "Goobne US run as a master franchise system. We are going to open 100 branches in 5 years. Goobne hasn't decided on which country to launch.  US menu pricing was determined by the forces of supply and demand in the local market."
