[Consumerwide_ HueSoung, Jun Reporter / Yohan, Bok Reporter] Some products of Pulmuwon, the No.1 company in the Korean tofu market, had colon bacillus, over-regulation. There has been an immediate recall of the product. This Soga firm tofu has been manufactured by a partner company (of Pulmuwon), Seoshin co.,ltd. Soga products were removed from the market on Jul. 22nd. The issue lies in sold products. Pulmuson said to refund even if the customer proves with a product wrapping paper. Pulmuwon made an official apology through homepages. However, it seems like the damage is inevitable to the 'wholesome food' image after this incident.    

On Jul. 22nd, MFDS(Ministry of Food and Drug Safety) announced that Pulmuwon Soga firm tofu manufactured by Seoshin has colon bacillus and over-regulation. Seoshin co.,ltd, the partner of Pulmuwon has been taking 10% of Soga products. The amount of colon bacillus has not been opened to the public. The expired date of the problem product is till 27th of Aug. It's been manufactured on the last 14th. Probably many bought them considering Pulmuwon is the no.1 Korean tofu company. Nevertheless, this was Recall Class 3. Class 3 is considered relatively less harmful to human health (MFDS). That doesn't mean it is harmless. That's why MFDS recalled.

Along with this event, Pulmuwon related person said in the interview with Consumerwide, "We completed to recall all the Soga product from the market. We are in the progress to clarify issues."  "We are refunding all customers through CS center. Please feel free to contact us. (customers' joy center)We will do our best till our customers are satisfied. It is the heart of our CEO."

On the other hand, the CEO of Pulmuwon, Jinhong Kim passed on his message through the homepage, "We deeply apologize for making you worry." "We've been closely investigating the whole manufacturing process in the factory as soon as we got to know the issue." "We are also examing other potentials such as product packaging process." "In the future, we will strive to make unfailing quality. We are so sorry."
