The 1st Round went between Boseongnokdon(Boseong greentea pork) burger from McDonald's and the Texas chili whopper from BurgerKing.

Meanwhile, McDonald's is jumping in with Changnyeong garlic burger again. Burgerking is armed with an upgraded version of the Double Texas chili whopper.

McDonald, Changnyoung garlic burger

On August 2nd, the food industry said that McDonald's is going to release a Changnyoung garlic burger. It's been just a month since the Boseongnokdon burger came out on the market. The Boseongnokdon burger raised average daily sales last month (2 digit numbers compared to last year's July), which month started to sell Boseongnokdon burger in full scale.

McDonald's is moving forward with a Changnyeong garlic burger, now having a successful history with Taste of Korea. Changnyeong garlic burger sold out over 1 million 580 thousand last year during a month. It proved quality of taste. Sometimes it even got sold out too quickly all over Korea. You can eat a Changnyeong garlic burger till late summer, starting from 4th of Aug. Prices for the set menu and single product both rose by 500 won.

On the day of the interview with Consumerwide, McDonald's person said, "We appreciate our customers' love for the Taste of Korea. We will continually approach them with fresh and delicious ingredients rooted in the Korean peninsula.

Burgerking,  Texas chili whopper

On the other hand, Burgerking jumped with an upgraded version of American taste. In June, Burgerking released a Texas chili whopper, bearing the taste of America, homeland of the hamburger. This time, Burgerking chose an upgraded version of the Texas chili whopper, that added double patties. You can get a Texas chili whopper for 11 thousand won, and a set menu for 12 thousand won. Sales records have not been opened up to the public.

A Burgerking related person said, "We got to release a Double Texas chili whopper following the Texas chili whopper. Our new menu is an upgraded version; it has two patties, and the taste is even better...Burgerking doesn't open a public sale record of Texas chili whopper. Thank you for your understanding."
